SHREE SAMVAYANG SUTRA:

The 4th  Aṅga  Sutra is  Samvayang Sutra.

The objects are depicted in their ascending numerical order. Firstly topics about things found in the numerical order of 1 to 100 are explained.

Thereafter it is a collection of topics about objects numbering from 150, 200, 100000, million,  and upto millions millions (krodakrodi).

Thereafter introduction to ‘Dwadashangi Ganipitak’  i.e. 12  Aṅga Sutras is given.

It also contains a compilation of the names of Tirthankars (omniscient), Chakravarti Kings  (emperors wielding sovereign power) and great learned men.

Like Thanang Sutra, in Samvayang Sutra there are no fixed order . It is easy to remember the topics as they are numerically divided in ascending order.

Samvayang Sutra is a compilation of varied topics in a numerical order. The study of Thanang and Samvayang sutra are highly beneficial to learners and disciples. Those who master these two sutras are honored with the title ‘Shrut Sthavir’. This is also a dictionary of Jain darshan.
